What each lesson covers
Install Oppermind Desktop, turn on computer control and keep the app running in the tray.
Remote access starts on the PC: the app must be installed and computer control turned on. The first time, Oppermind asks you to authorize this computer. Keep running when the window closes leaves the app in the system tray, which is what makes the PC reachable when nobody is sitting at it. Launch at sign-in makes that survive a restart.
Practice. On the PC: Desktop settings → Computer control → turn on Any app on this computer and choose Authorize. Turn on Keep running when the window closes and Launch at sign-in.
Desktop settings → Computer control → Any app on this computer → Authorize.
Choose Desktop Co-pilot and find your PC by name, or pair a standalone agent with a code.
On the phone, choose Desktop Co-pilot from the mode chip. A PC signed in to the same account with computer control on shows up by itself; Link a PC gives a pairing code for a standalone agent instead. Rename this PC so a second machine is easy to tell apart later.
Practice. Mode chip → Desktop Co-pilot, find the PC by name and rename it. Use Link a PC → Get a pairing code only for a standalone agent.
Mode chip → Desktop Co-pilot → Rename this PC.
Start the stream and choose Watch or Take control.
The live screen is the PC as it is right now. Start stream begins it. The switch in the toolbar decides who uses the mouse and keyboard: Watch lets Lato work on its own while you watch; Take control lets you use them yourself while Lato keeps working. To stop Lato altogether, turn on Pause Lato behind the gear. Stop stream ends the picture without ending the link.
Practice. Open the panel, Start stream, choose Take control and open a folder on the PC by hand. Switch back to Watch.
Start stream → Take control → click into the screen.
Ask for something you could undo, and answer the permission requests.
The first task should be reversible: export a report, organise a folder, read a screen. Lato narrates each step in the chat and stops before consequential actions with Permission requested, the action and its risk. Allow once what the task needs; Deny anything it did not need, and Lato adapts.
Practice. Ask for an export or a file tidy-up. Allow the file_write permission once; deny anything else and see what Lato does instead.
Open our accounting desktop app, go to Reports, and export the August aged debtors report to my desktop.
Every action is recorded; control stays on the PC.
Audit log lists what Lato did and what you allowed, in order. Read it after the first task. On the phone, Pause Lato behind the gear stops Lato until you turn it off. On the PC, Pause under Computer control keeps the link but stops Lato acting, and switching off Any app on this computer ends remote access. Existing agent permissions govern what Lato can do; widen them only after the log shows Lato doing what you expected.
Practice. Open the audit log and read the run. On the PC, choose Pause under Computer control, then confirm the phone shows that computer control is paused.
Audit log → read today's entries. Desktop settings → Computer control → Pause.
